Only what the site needs.
When you browse or search, the web host and API provider process ordinary request information such as the requested URL, time, and technical network data. Search terms are used to return results; this application does not write them to its catalog database.
Game cover art may load from the Steam static content network. When you follow an external link, the destination site receives your request under its own privacy policy.
Small, aggregated signals.
If view counting is enabled by the operator, the API uses a daily, keyed hash to avoid counting the same browser address repeatedly for one game in a day. The raw address is not written to the application database, and the deduplication rows are removed after two days. Outbound-link events store the game, link, and time—not a visitor address—and are removed after 30 days.
A short-lived browser session value prevents repeat view submissions while you move around the same session. It is stored in session storage, not a tracking cookie. When your browser exposes a Do Not Track preference, FreeGameplay does not submit these optional view or outbound-link signals. The aggregate counters remain as totals; they are operational signals, not an advertising profile.
Useful memory, kept on your device.
If you save a game to your play queue, the app stores a small snapshot of that game in this browser’s local storage. It is not sent to FreeGameplay, attached to an account, or used for advertising. Clearing site data, using a different browser, or browsing privately can remove the queue.
Leave whenever you like.
You can use browser privacy controls to block session or local storage, or remote artwork. Blocking either does not prevent you from reading the catalog; a saved queue may simply be temporary. Hosting providers may retain limited technical logs under their own retention and privacy terms.
